Hi there, I’m Sylvie

I’m a product-focused UX practitioner with a Master’s in Library and Information Science. Researching, designing, and writing with users in mind from Chicago, IL

For more than a decade, I've helped build and support products for the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library and repository of the history of the web, simplifying the complex process of web archiving along the way. My work has spanned content strategy, user research, and product development with a throughline of translating what users and stakeholders need into what teams can actually build.

My work

Defining workflow terminology and redesigning the landing page to improve user experience of a new web data analysis service.

Identifying and proposing solutions to pain points in web archiving workflows.

The first documentation of its kind, defining voice and tone and bringing consistency to how the department talks about our products.
